Warner Bros claims Wonder Woman will not be a game-service
An announcement of a job, published by Monolith Productions, suggests that the elements of a living service will be present in the upcoming game Wonder Woman, but Warner Bros. claims that the main attention will be given to a single game.
Games with a living service are supported for a long time after launch using seasonal extensions and often have microtransactions for other elements, such as cosmetics and weapons. Popular examples such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 are focused on a multiplayer game, however, in other games, for example Destiny 2, there are also plot campaigns.
And this is despite the fact that the game Wonder Woman was announced as a single -user action with an open world and an original plot, and neither the developer of Monolith, nor the publisher of Warner Bros. Games has not previously mentioned the elements of a living service.
Warner Bros. answered the IGN publication with a statement in which she denies that the game will be service.
Wonder Woman is a single -user adventure game, whose action takes place in a dynamic open world. In this third -person game, the players will become Diana from Femiskira and present the original story that occurs in the DC universe, as well as use the Nemesis system. Wonder Woman is not developed as a living service.
Earlier, general director of Warner Bros. David Zaslav said that the company is striving "turn our largest franchises from predominantly console and PC versions with a schedule for the release of three to four years into games with a constant gameplay through living services, multi-platform and free-to-Play additions so that more players spend more time for more platforms".
The game Wonder Woman was announced in December 2021 with a short teaser trailer and description. This will be a single-user action with an open world and an original plot in which players will play the role of miracle women, "fighting for the unification of their family of Amazons and people from the modern world", The message says.
